1918 Diary Entries: April-May, June-July, August-September, October-November, and Letters from late 1918 and 1919
Henry Kratz Kindig was born April 24, 1896, in Philadelphia, Pa., to Marvin and Anne Kindig. His father was a merchant. Kindig was awarded two Silver Stars during his service in World War One. This diary begins in April 1918 and continues through November 1918. Upon his return to the United States, Henry married Madeleine (Mabs) Mautz. They had two children, Henry and Anne. His second wife was named Rosalie. Henry died in 1966.
